Geometry Dash SubZero: A Platformer That Makes Your Heart Race

Dash of Geometry RobTop Games created and published SubZero, which is a stand-alone game in the Geometry Dash series. SubZero came out on December 21, 2017, for iOS and Android. It's a free-to-play game that has the same rhythm-based gameplay as the other games in the series. It has bright neon graphics, throbbing EDM music, and heart-pounding platforming challenges.

SubZero isn't a full sequel, but it does give you a refined look at new features and materials that will be in Geometry Dash's long-awaited 2.2 release. It just has three levels, which can make it seem limiting, but it has everything that makes Geometry Dash a cult classic among mobile gamers.

A look at the gameplay

The basic idea behind Geometry Dash SubZero is the same as in its predecessors: players control a geometric object, usually a cube, that moves on its own across the screen. The aim is easy to understand but hard to do: leap, fly, and flip gravity to get past a succession of lethal obstacles, all while keeping time with a pulsing musical beat.

Every level is perfectly timed so that obstacles line up with beats and musical cues. To leap or interact with unique items, players have to tap the screen. But if they make a mistake, like hitting a spike or timing a jump wrong, they have to start over. This feature, where you die in one hit, might be annoying, but it is also quite addicting.
